Day 340: The Art of Storytelling

As I get more and more into the blogs, I tend to get more responses that include, "you are telling the story wrong I know, I was there"  My answer: Feel free to type up the story in your words and I will post it to my blog. "Crickets." That shuts them up. Tsk, tsk if you are willing to critique the writer you better be ready to write. BF, I know you didn't say I had a fabulous butt, but was I really going to put what you really said on here*. Nope. I fully recognize that one of the best parts of a story is every person who was there will have a different story because they all have different points of view. This blog is just mine. Interestingly enough, my mother of whom I wrote a whole post on, never commented about it being not true.  Because my mother is the original storyteller, she knows sometimes you can say the exact same thing, a person originally said in a different tone and it means something else in the story. In the words of Taye Diggs from the Best Man, "Embellishment sells [books], but in my case blogs. DEUCES
