Day 292: The Magical Powers of Cheddars

 Whatchu know about this?

While in the 757 for college, my friend (actually same mentor friend from my post yesterday) introduced me to this little slice of heaven. Cheddars, so obscure until recently for there was only one in VA (in Newport News) and less than 8 in the entire east coast. Now they are popping up all over the place and reminds me of my promise to myself that I would only live somewhere that Cheddars was in the vicinity.

Back in '03-'07, this used to be the place where dreams came true. Cheap drinks, cheap variety of food, full of great colorful people and I never had to wait when there was a long waiting list....(shhh). And I had a story to tell everytime that I left from there. Everyone that has ever mattered to me, I took to Cheddars. From my first after college boyfriend meeting my parents, to my best guy friend who the waiter mistook as my boyfriend and sent him death looks, to my best girl friend, to 16 of my closest friends and their closest friends, to the coolest waiter ever, to exBF, I took everybody to Cheddars. Then '07, I had to retire it, service went down a little, drinks tasted a lil less potent, prices went up, and plate size went down, but I still love it!

It's like the house you grew up in, you outgrow it, but you still go back and you still love it when you go back, and now you common folks can go to one near you (Roanoke, VA NC, SC, GA) ExBF and I went to a new one every state we were in.

BUT YOU'LL NEVER GET THE SERVICE THAT I GOT! (in the words of preschool class....Boo-yah!)
